Who is the lead teacher?
The founder of Smart Champs Tuition, Tania is a qualified and experienced primary teacher. She has taught at top independent and outstanding state schools for over 15 years. She acquired an M.A. in Education with QTS. She possesses excellent command on Primary National Curriculum and has led English and Maths in her previous roles. She has progressed through a number of roles leading up to senior management. As an acting headteacher at a private school in London, Tania led a successful team during Ofsted inspection 2012.
She has taught and tutored a large variety of students, from Reception to Year 6. She is highly skilled in teaching and assessing for Key Stage 1 and 2 SATS. Her students have shown outstanding improvements in attainment as a result of her hard work and dedication to teaching and learning.
What is the teaching style?
As an accredited Thinking School partner (cognitive Coach), Tania incorporates Thinking strategies to facilitate metacognition in her pupils during her lessons. She has developed love for planning Questions for Learning (QFL) based lessons for her pupils that are fundamental in developing inquisitive minds. Her pupils aim to explore logical and practical answers to these questions during the learning sessions.
Following on this good practice, at Smart Champs Tuition, she inspires her pupils to solve problems using thinking strategies to make exceptional progress. She strongly believes every child should enjoy his learning and should be able to reflect and improve.
